CA Future Thinking
AI is evil - is it?
I wanted to give you a quick behind-the-scenes look at how CA is using AI tools today and potentially in the near future. What used to sound like science fiction is becoming reality in seconds nowadays. I’m having a hard time processing this.
As you can imagine, almost every email and text is written with some help from AI, which is fully integrated into our smart email app, Spark. Simply hit “Generate Reply” and provide a brief description of the desired response to generate a perfectly written email. I wonder if this will help improve my English writing skills or if it’s just brain rot and I’ll soon forget how to form proper sentences.
When uploading new images to the CA archive, the AI immediately takes over, analyzing the images and generating proper keywords and descriptions. With a little human help, such as adding a few basic keywords to provide more context and the location where the image was taken, the AI output improves.
At the same time, the AI adds all the information to our vector database to improve online searches and provide features such as “Similar Search” which finds images similar in content, not just color.
We use “Notion” to keep track of all our sales, and we use “Runple” for accounting / invoicing and handling about 300 bulk transactions each month. We also use many Notion AI features, such as checking current sales analytics and using AI transcriptions for calls. Out of Notion, we also generate our “Publications Archive”.
Over the past couple of days, I’ve been working on building our own GPT that learns from our previous sales. I’ve trained it using thousands of anonymized invoices and negotiations. It’s now ready to handle new requests and provide accurate estimates, which we can forward to our clients.
If we take this a step further, we could automate the entire image licensing process. This would include everything from taking on client requests and negotiations to file transfer, invoicing, and much more. All the necessary tools already exist, and I wonder when working will be optional and we’ll only have to watch our AI agents do our jobs.
I don’t know how to feel about all this. Do you?
